Joe Waller is the founder and leader of the Jackson Creek String Band. His strong vocal capabilities take the listener from the heart of bluegrass into the soul of folk and the touching lament of the Texas cowboy! His solid rhythm guitar holds us together! Joe's focus is on bringing the audience into the performance with sing-alongs and shared musical reminiscence. Katie Bailey Waller, fiddler from Enterprise, was classically trained on the viola and violin, but is now having a wonderful time playing fiddle!!! Katie won 2nd place in the Old Time Fiddle Music Championship 1999 and 2nd in the State Twin Fiddle Contest at White Spring 2001. She teaches workshops and fiddle classes at the Sunshine State Acoustic Music Camp and Will McLean Festival yearly. Sandy Meloon from Orlando is a charter member of Jackson Creek. She is our lead bassist and provides outstanding vocal harmony for Jackson Creek.
